Temple of Honor

Burningman is about art, serious and whimsical, profound, erotic, solemn and profane. The Temple of Honor was the most profound and solemn place on the Playa. It was constructed entirely of sonotubes, cardboard tubes used for shipping. It is dedicated to the loss of love, loss of loved. A place where sadness and pain can be brought and left. A place where you leave tokens, written or as objects to what you want to celebrate. I saw letters written to parents from children unable to communicate to them directly, pictures of loved ones lost, loves lost, sorrow and most of the pictures were of people shown at thier happiest...to be remembered.
